New beginnings

Hey everyone!

So as I'm finishing up school, I wanted to lay down a few rules for myself. I'm going to start in June again because May is a very busy month. I hope you all remember why I'm doing this. As a reminder it's based off of Gretchen Rubin's book The Happiness Project. I feel there's a lot more I can do with my life to make it happier. I'm already a very happy person but there's always more. I'll keep posting twice a week so I can get into a habit of posting. Until June, I'll post to keep you updated on my life before I start into my year-long happiness project.

Let's Catch Up

Hey all you happy people!

Let's do a little catching up before I make any more commitments. I'll fill you in on mainly happy aspects.

Since September:
I still have my Hedgehog little Miss Sophie
My older sister,Erin, had her son Declan-her second child
I passed my Fall semester.
Christmas happened.
My sister, Erin, got married.
We put my 21 year-old cat to sleep.
I started my Spring semester.
My mom turned 50.
I saw Book of Mormon.
My oldest sister, Tammy, had her son Spencer-her second child.

Those are the main points of the months I was MIA. I'm sure I'll add more as I think of them.

I'm back!

Hey everyone!

I have not been on since September and a lot has happened since then! Now that I'm heading into summer vacation, I plan to start my Happiness Project over. After I stopped writing I stopped following the goals I had planned out here. The goal of this whole project is to make my life better and I am determined to do it this time. So I plan on picking this project back up and making my life happier. More information to come!

School Update

Hey everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been so bogged down with work that I haven't been able to post. This course load definitely sounded intimidating when I first signed up for it, and it is a lot of work. But I see it becoming more manageable than previous semesters. Maybe it's because I have a clear plan of what I needed to do and because my classes are harder and I knew I needed to put everything I had into them. I'm feeling more comfortable in the classes I thought were going to be harder and I feel like I'm actually retaining the information being taught. That's my spiel for today. I'll be back as soon as possible.

P.S. Sophie is doing great! She's starting to be really comfortable with me and a few family members and friends!

Classes

Hey everybody,

So classes are going well. I haven't posted in a while because I've been bogged down with homework and taking care of Sophie and making sure she's comfortable in her new home. All of my teachers are so nice but all the work I'm going to have is going to be overwhelming sometimes but I'm going to get through it with help from my mini goals. Organic Chemistry is going to be the hardest subject.

In other news Sophie and I have been doing cuddle time, she has yet to venture out of her ball, but in due time she will. She is definitely the best purchase I have ever made and has made me so happy, even if I do have to clean the poop out of her wheel everyday.

I'll be back soon with school updates!

Sophie

Hey everyone,

In case you were wondering more about Sophie here is an update:

She is an albino African Pygmy Hedgehog and she's about six months old. She is still getting used to her new home and is a little jumpy. She recognizes me by smell and sound and she recognizes my dad by sound. It's so fun having a new addition to my household and I can't wait to have lots of adventures with her. I have to wait 72 hours before handling her so she can get used to her new home. :)

Have a happy day everyone!

A new addition

Well, I completed one of my July goals...I got my hedgehog!!!! Her name is Sophie.

She is a little freaked out from the move, but there will be more pictures to come when she comes out of her ball. I'm so excited to have this new little baby to care for!
